Percutaneous vertebroplasty and kyphoplasty are effective at vertebral body reconstruction, pain reduction and stabilisation of the affected segment of the spine, and the duration of the intervention is significantly shorter, which allows for a short narcosis or even local anaesthesia, thereby decreasing the risk of severe complications [19].
